Trump Supporter Cites Japanese Internment Camps as ‘Precedent’ for Muslim Registry

Carl Higbie is a former Navy Seal author who currently leads the pro-Trump Great America PAC. Earlier this evening, he went on Fox News Wednesday to talk about the Muslim registry proposed by Donald Trump.

During his appearance with Megyn Kelly, Higbie said that he didn’t believe Muslims were bad people, but though it’d be wise to keep tabs on them.

“We’ve done it with Iran back a while ago,” he said, “we did it during World War II with the Japanese.”

Wait…what!?

Even Megyn Kelly was shocked when she heard those words come out of Higbie’s mouth. She immediately admonished him.

“Come on, you’re not proposing we go back to the days of internment camps, I hope.” she said.

Higbie immediately said no, but cited the internment camps as precedent to make the registry happen.

“That’s the kind of stuff that gets people scared…You can’t be citing Japanese internment camps as precedent for anything the President-elect is gonna do,” Kelly said.

This is absolutely horrific.
