Though it is not clear how one cat got on top of a power pole, it had to spend 9-days before it could be rescued. The incredible rescue was carried out by concerned utility workers. When that happened, the cat’s family called the electric company, the fire departments and animal control to help the cat from the desperate situation, but none answered. You see, they loved the cat so much and there was a possibility that “Fat Boy” had landed there after being scared by a dog. The utility workers who carried out the rescue were from Pacific Gas and Electric Co. To ensure that the cat or any other cat did not land on the 12,000-volt line, they placed some animal-deterrent plastic around the poles.
