When he bought a pair of contact lenses, Chad Groeschen picked those whose manufacturer claimed they could be worn overnight. Shock on him! So one day, Chad fell asleep with his lenses on, only to wake up the next day feeling some kind of pains in his left eye. The pain developed into failing vision, and then it went dark. Chad had to rush to a doctor for a checkup. He was informed that his eye had been infected with bacteria due to the lenses, and now his left eye was blind. Chad can get his vision back, but that would require a transplant of cornea and a full year for recovery.
