Golden Retriever With A 46-Pound Tumor Can Now Smile… Wow!

Ask People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, and they’ll tell you that about half of the over 8 million companion animals abandoned every year end up getting put down because they can’t find another home. What’s sadder than that? Here’s a story about this dog, Henry. Henry, a Golden Retriever, found himself abandoned and alone when his humans decided to away with him because he had a giant tumor in his belly. Of the 120 lbs of his total weight, more than a third of it was the tumor! Luckily for him, he was a happy dog, and his luck kicked up a bit more and a cop found him. He was rescued and treated. Dr. Karla Nichols operated on him and removed the tumor. The dog recovered and is all okay now. He’s always happy as usual, tail wagging and all. Watch and feel inspired.
