How to Use the Image Processor Script in Photoshop for Batches of Photos

Here’s a 5-minute video by Photoshop guru Scott Kelby about a piece of “buried treasure” in Photoshop: the powerful Image Processor tool.

Hiding in the File menu, this neat little script allows you to process an entire folder of images at once.

You can also apply any Photoshop Action you wish, as well as embed a color profile and any metadata, during the process.

Okay, so this kind of functionality already exists in Lightroom as far as exporting goes, but the ability to apply any Photoshop Actions to your images on export is a great one.

And yes, Lightroom has setting that can be synced across different photos in bulk processing, but Lightroom’s edits are limited in comparison to what Photoshop can do, so the Image Processor tool might open up some opportunities for certain photographers looking to do larger edits on a grander scale.
