Paul Bettany would make a great 'Star Wars' space pirate, FWIW

Another scruffy-looking nerf herder has joined Ron Howard's Han Solo movie.

The Alden Ehrenreich-starring spin-off story, which follows a younger, pre-A New Hope Solo, will now feature the talents of Paul Bettany. Howard himself confirmed the news in a tweeted photo of himself with a downright roguish-looking Bettany.

"The Outer Rim just got a little bit wilder," Howard wrote, referring to a remote section of the Star Wars galaxy where smugglers and pirates — i.e. Han Solo's people — tend to congregate.
