Huge OnePlus 5T leak reveals everything you could want to know

The OnePlus 5T is officially scheduled for its grand arrival on November 16, but thanks to a hands-on post that hit the web this weekend, we now know pretty much everything there is to know about the phone in advance.

Courtesy of an unboxing article that went up on ZDNet.de and has since been pulled, we know the specs are almost identical to the OnePlus 5: a Snapdragon 835 and Adreno 540 GPU, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. You get a dual 16MP camera on the back, and a single one on the front, just like its predecessor.

As leaks go it's pretty comprehensive, but we'd already heard a lot of this information from previous leaks. It's very much a minor upgrade for OnePlus this time around, which you would expect from a "T" variant anyway.

Stretch that screen

The biggest difference from the OnePlus 5 is the screen, which gets stretched to a 6-inch, 1,080 x 2,160 pixel display at an 18:9 aspect ratio. The OnePlus 5T also ditches most of the bezel margins, like many a flagship in 2017. The fingerprint sensor moves to the back.

As we revealed a couple of days ago, the device won't have wireless charging built in (OnePlus thinks its own Dash Charge is superior), and we've also been able to verify that the phone is going to go on sale at the same price as the OnePlus 5, at least in the UK. That means you're looking at a starting price of around $479, £449 or AU$599.

Oh, and there is a headphone jack, as well as a USB-C port, so you can use your existing headphones with the device. Be sure to check in next Thursday when we'll bring you everything OnePlus has to say about the phone.
