Sean Astin (a.k.a. Samwise Gamgee) went on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' and met the man who is quite possibly his number one fan... Stephen Colbert.
Turns out when Astin's agent called him about the part of Samwise Gamgee, Astin thought he would be doing an adaptation of The Phantom Tollbooth.
