Indonesian Teen Gets Skull Cracked By Train While Taking Selfie With Friends

A 16-year-old girl miraculously survived after a speeding train hit her head, cracking her skull wide open while she was taking selfies with her friends by the railroad in Purworejo, Central Java, Indonesia.

According to The Sun, the victim, identified as Ely Hayati, was behind her three friends when they decided to take the selfie by the tracks while a train was passing by.

As the four teenagers smiled for the camera, Hayati was accidentally struck by the massive vehicle. Her friends claim that the impact made her body fly a few feet from where they were kneeling.

Disturbing photos posted on social media showed Hayati lying on the ground with her skull open. After the horrific accident, the teenager was immediately rushed to a local hospital to get her scalp sewn back together.

Hayati will reportedly require further medical assistance. However, it’s unclear if she will suffer any long-term effects in her brain after the accident.

Local authorities did not say whether the area where the girls decided to take a selfie was restricted.
