Twin Grooms Marry Twin Brides in China So the Whole Family Can Be Confused All the Time

Chinese netizens are enamored with a recent “double wedding” in China, which saw a pair of twin brothers tying the knot with a pair of twin sisters.

Grooms Zheng Dashuang and Zheng Xiaoshuang got married to Liang Jing and Liang Qing in a lavish ceremony on Dec. 3 in Daqing, Heilongjiang. The similarly named brothers are currently 26 years old, while the sisters, who are even more similarly named, are 23.

According to Shanghaiist, the families of the identical pair of lovebirds first met almost a decade ago and became close over the years. Their supportive mothers soon made plans for the couples’ nuptials and eventually arranged for the event.

The wedding became widely shared on Chinese social media, where many showered the pair with wishes of happiness and good luck. Some netizens also wished that they don’t get confused and accidentally swap their spouses during the honeymoon.

While such occurrences are quite rare, there have been similar Chinese weddings in the recent past where a pair of twin brides married their twin grooms. Last year, twin brothers Liu Zhiming and Liu Zhiliang married twin sisters in Yangxin County in Hubei. In 2010, two male twins also married two female twins in Jiaozhou in Shandong, reports South China Morning Post.
