The Cranberries lead singer Dolores O'Riordan dead at 46

Dolores O'Riordan, lead singer of Irish rock band The Cranberries, died Monday. She was 46.

The band confirmed the news on their official Facebook page. There's no cause of death listed; the post only notes that O'Riordan died "suddenly" while she was in London for "a short recording session."

The Cranberries were a staple of the 1990s alt-rock music scene. Their 1993 debut, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?, delivered "Dreams" and "Linger," two of the era's most well-known tunes.
