Forward unto premium cable: Showtime orders 10 episode live adaptation of Xbox's 'Halo'

Showtime is officially bringing the long awaited Halo TV series out of cryo-sleep with a 10 episode order. Network president David Nevins is describing plans for the show as Showtime's "most ambitious series ever" and promises "personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future."

Even if you haven't played the Halo games, you've almost certainly heard of them.
