High school baseball player comforts friend before celebrating victory
Remember sportsmanship? Sportsmanship is good, and one young baseball player has it in spades.
Last Wednesday night in Minnesota, the Mounds View and Totino-Grace baseball teams faced off in a game that would decide which team won the sectional championship. Both teams played their best (I don't know anything about baseball), but Mounds View, as it happened, came out on top.
After the win, the Mounds View players ran to each other to celebrate. But one player, pitcher Ty Koehn, stayed behind to hug the batter he'd just struck out — Jack Kocon, who also happens to be his childhood friend. Read more...
