Police Called to Rescue Toddler After Getting Stuck in a Toy
A panicking mom called New Jersey police when her 20-month-year old son managed to get himself stuck in a toy meant to teach children about shapes.
The toddler, Lucas, looked slightly embarrassed in photos taken by his mom, Soona Choe, after Sergeant Rick Hernandez responded to the call. He had the jaws of life en route to the home but was able to break the back panel of the toy.
Hernandez said that Lucas seemed a little self-conscious about the situation.
“It was a priceless expression (he had) on his face,” Hernandez said.
Choe said she had no idea how to get her son free before calling 911.
“He got in easily, but could not come back out,” she said.
Lucas apparently ended up enjoying the attention and is now back to playing with the toy. His mother plans on showing Lucas photos when he’s older to remind him of the tough spot he had gotten himself into.
“It’s kind of comical if you think about the situation,” Choe told CBS2.
