While President Donald Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani campaigns for his boss' reelection, his daughter is rallying behind former Vice President Joe Biden.

In a Vanity Fair column published Thursday, Caroline Giuliani openly expressed her distaste for Trump and called on Americans to instead tick the Democratic box this presidential election.

"The only way to end this nightmare is to vote," the 31-year-old wrote. "There is hope on the horizon, but we'll only grasp it if we elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris."

The piece comes after Giuliani had publicly shared her support for the Biden-Harris ticket on Twitter in August. In her social media bio, she calls herself a "LIBERAL, obviously."

Giuliani, who voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, said conflicting political views have long been a part of the family dynamic. She opened up about having childhood arguments over a range of issues with her father, whom she described as a "polarizing mayor who became the president's personal bulldog." In recent years, the former New York City mayor has turned into one of Trump's most prominent allies, first as a supporter during his 2016 campaign, then an adviser, and now a member of his legal team since 2018.

"I may not be able to change my father's mind, but together, we can vote this toxic administration out of office," she said in the piece. "It's taken persistence and nerve to find my voice in politics, and I'm using it now to ask you to stand with me in the fight to end Donald Trump's reign of terror."

Giuliani wrote that some major points of contention that bubbled up between herself and her father involved LGBTQ+ rights as well as issues on race and sex — all areas she claimed Trump has harmed and will continue to threaten if he gets reelected.

"Trump and his enablers have used his presidency to stoke the injustice that already permeated our society, taking it to dramatically new, Bond-villain heights," she wrote. As a filmmaker in the LGBTQ+ community, "who tells stories about mental health, sexuality, and other stigmatized issues ... believe me when I say that another Trump term (a term, itself, that makes me cringe) will irrevocably harm the LGBTQ+ community, among many others," she added.

Giuliani ended the column by urging voters — on the right, left, and those who remain undecided — to "hang on" and "elect a compassionate and decent president."

"I fully understand that some of you want a nominee who is more progressive," she wrote. "Biden wasn't my first choice when the primaries started. But I know what is at stake, and Joe Biden will be everyone's president if elected."
