'Sex in the City' is getting a Samantha-free revival
As I looked at the announcement of a Sex in the City series, I couldn't help but wonder: Is this the thing that finally makes me watch it?
Iconic sitcom Sex in the City is being revived in a new series of 10 half-hour episodes on HBO Max, as confirmed by Variety. It will be the first time audiences catch up with the characters since Sex and the City 2 in 2010 (barring short-lived prequel The Carrie Diaries.)
Called And Just Like That..., the revival will follow the Sex Crew (Screw?) as they continue to deal with the love lives and friendships in their 50s. Original cast members Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis will reprise their roles as Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York respectively, and will also executive produce alongside Michael Patrick King.
