Tony Awards
Host James Corden, center, is joined by casts of nominated musicals as he performs at the 73rd annual Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 9, 2019, in New York.
  • The Tony Awards will honor the best of Broadway from 2021 and 2022.
  • The awards will be broadcast live coast-to-coast on June 12 beginning at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
  • You can watch both parts of the ceremony live on Paramount Plus.

The 75th annual Tony Awards will recognize Broadway's best shows that opened between early March 2020 and May 4, 2022. The show will be broadcast live coast-to-coast on June 12 on CBS and Paramount Plus.

This year's Tonys will air in two "acts." "The Tony Awards: Act One" kicks off at 7 p.m. ET exclusively on Paramount Plus. This first hour, hosted by Darren Criss and Julianne Hough, will see several awards given out plus a few performances.

The second part, a three-hour broadcast on CBS and Paramount Plus, will be hosted by Ariana DeBose, a Tony nominee who recently won an Oscar for her performance in 2021's "West Side Story."

The Tonys will return to a full-scale ceremony at Radio City Music Hall this year following September's scaled-down ceremony.

"A Strange Loop" leads the pack this year with 11 nominations, making history with L. Morgan Lee's nomination for best featured actress in a musical, the first transgender performer to be nominated. In the play categories, "The Lehman Trilogy" leads with eight nominations.

Announced celebrity presenters include Jessica Chastain, Andrew Garfield, Bryan Cranston, Samuel L. Jackson, and Jennifer Hudson. Angela Lansbury will be honored during the event with a lifetime achievement Tony. The broadcast will also feature performances from eight of the best musical and best musical revival nominees.
