You still can get a ticket to the Super Bowl on game day, but it'll cost you

Super Bowl Ticket Prices 23
VividSeats charted data for ticket prices in the weeks ahead of the big game.
  • Super Bowl tickets are still available on game day — and prices are going down
  • An entry-level ticket comes in just under $3,000 on some sites
  • Ticket prices this year are lower than in 2022, according to VividSeats

Non-committal fans can still find tickets to the Super Bowl just hours before the big game — and their procrastination may actually save them thousands.

Resale day-of tickets for Super Bowl LVII were available in abundance across ticket websites to watch the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs game face off at 6:30 ET Sunday. A spot in the nosebleeds runs about $3,000, and seats in the lower sections reach well over $6,000.

According to data from VividSeats, the median price for a ticket in State Farm Stadium dropped from $9,100 on January 23 to $5,500 on Friday. The get-in price for the game has gone from nearly $5,000 to just over $3,000 in the same time.

Ticket prices seemed to be following that trend as kickoff loomed, with some coming in under $3,000 Sunday morning.

Insider checked out a few last-minute Super Bowl ticket options and found some of the cheapest seats available. Here are the websites with the lowest cost of entry.

VividSeats can get you into the game for under $2,900

A ticket in section 452 of State Farm Stadium, in Glendale, cost $2,830 before fees on VividSeats as of Sunday morning. The seats are up in the rafters and at an awkward angle — but they'll get you inside the building.

Seat Geek comes in just under $3,000

A ticket on Seat Geek Sunday morning started at $2,978 before fees for a spot in Section 448. For about $150 more than the cost on VividSeats, you could find yourself with angle overlooking the sidelines — but still pretty far away from the action.

StubHub cracks the $3,000 barrier

The lowest Super Bowl ticket price before fees on StubHub Sunday morning was $3,035. High up in section 450, the view doesn't seem much different than an entry-level VividSeats ticket.

Ticketmaster is the most likely to break the bank

A seat in section 402 on Ticketmaster cost $3,200 Sunday morning, not counting additional fees. Like the VividSeats ticket, it's high up and awkwardly situated at the corner of the field.

Prices over the years

Super Bowl ticket prices have dropped significantly in the past two years, according to VividSeats, but remain far above the cost of a ticket in the 2010s.

The average ticket price for Super Bowl LVII rings in at $6,024, according to VividSeats data, slightly less than the price in 2022. The average cost for 2021's game — Tom Brady's final Super Bowl — was nearly $9,500.

From 2013 to 2019, average ticket prices rose steadily each year from about $2,500 to just over $4,000. A ticket to the game in 2020 cost just under $5,700.
