Walmart+ Week is here: What to know about the members-only event
UPDATE: Jun. 17, 2024, 9:41 a.m. EDT Walmart+ Week kicks off today, June 17 at 12 PM EST. We've updated this article with the most updated information. Check back here as deals are rolled out.
Walmart is beating Amazon to the punch on big summer sales. Walmart+ Week is here, offering members-only deals from June 17 to 23, 2024. Ready to shop? The deals kick off at 12 PM EST.
Like Prime Day, which drops next month, we expect this shopping event to be jam-packed with discounts on products and services from which Walmart+ members can benefit. Here's everything we know about the sales event so far.
What is Walmart+ Week?
In a press release on May 30, Walmart announced its members-only event. Deals and offerings are exclusive to Walmart+ members. While we expect many markdowns on products, this event will also offer extra savings on services like gas and travel.
When is Walmart+ Week?
Walmart+ Week runs from June 17 to 23, starting at 12 PM EST. We're used to seeing other retailers offer summer sales events, usually in coordination with Prime Day. However, Amazon Prime Day arrives sometime in July.
With Walmart+ arriving earlier, you won't have the advantage of comparing prices at multiple sales events. Luckily, we're expert deal hunters and will have our eyes peeled for the deals worth jumping on.
What to expect from Walmart+ Week
While we don't know the exact products on sale during Walmart+ Week, we do know the focus will be on discounted services Walmart+ members gain access to. Here are some of the deals we already know about:
-
Double savings on fuel at Exxon & Mobil stations, saving 20 cents per gallon.
-
Earn 20% back in Walmart cash when booking flights, hotels, car rentals, and activities when purchased through Walmart+ Travel.
-
Complimentary Express Delivery: Get items on your doorstep in under two hours.
-
Three free months of Walmart+ InHome, delivering items into your home rather than the doorstep.
-
Exclusive access to new items is only available to Walmart+ members.
In its press release, Walmart also teased a "mystery offer" to be revealed on June 20. We don't know what this offer will cover, but we will update you as soon as it's revealed.
Deals to look out for during Walmart+ Week
The deals officially drop at 12 PM EST, but in the meantime we're looking back at the best deals from last year. Keep an eye out for these deals and scope out the deals to look out for during Prime Day 2024 to compare:

Can you shop Walmart+ Week without being a member?
Similar to Prime Day, Walmart+ Week is a members-only event. Walmart+ membership costs $98 per year or $12.95 per month, or is available for $49 a year for those on qualifying government assistance.
A Walmart+ membership gives you free standard delivery from the store, free shipping with no order minimum, fuel savings at Exxon and Mobil, streaming with Paramount+, and access to the Walmart+ Travel portal.
To hack the system, you can try out Walmart+ on a free 30-day trial. If you sign up today, you'll have access to the Walmart+ Week savings; just make sure to cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
What benefits do you get with a Walmart+ membership?
As a Walmart+ member, you'll have access to a number of worthy perks, many of which are unrelated to your purchases at the retailer. Of course, you'll get unlimited free delivery with all orders over $35. Beyond that, you get next-day and two-day shipping free with no minimum purchase required, with all returns fast and free as Walmart picks up the tab for you on any items you don't like.
You'll also get a number of discounts on things like fuel, auto care, and more, like free Paramount+ streaming, up to five free months of Apple Music, up to four months of Apple Fitness+, and two free months of Xbox Game Pass. You can also use your membership to try out YouTube Premium for three months if you're looking to get rid of some pesky ads.
