Watch Red Sox fans give Adam Jones a standing ovation a day after racist taunts
On Tuesday night, one day after Red Sox fans shouted racist taunts and hurled peanuts at Baltimore Orioles outfielder Adam Jones, Sox fans gave Jones a standing ovation.
It was something of a happy ending after a long, rough day of discussion and debate following Jones told reporters after the game that Boston fans taunted him with racial epithets during Monday night's game at Fenway Park.
It's not the first time Jones has talked about poor fan behavior. In 2015, he addressed the treatment he's received at the hands of Sox fans, and he spoke out when Toronto Blue Jays fans threw a full can of beer at his teammate Hyun Soo Kim during the 2016 playoffs. Read more...
