Blizzard reveals what Doomfist has been up to in 'Overwatch'

Doomfist is free from prison and punching things.

Blizzard posted a fictional news article from the Overwatch universe Tuesday revealing the name and status of the character Doomfist, a gauntlet-wielding villain who has been referenced and teased since the game first launched over a year ago.

A few recent happenings point toward the possible release of Doomfist as a playable hero in Overwatch soon: Doomfist's gauntlet was stolen from the map Numbani in February, and Blizzard named the current public test region "Summer Games/Doomfist," suggesting Doomfist would be coming to the game in August.
