'Veep' announces next season will be its last
Sad news for fans of the rapid-fire, fiery-insult-hurling political masterpiece that is HBO's Veep: the brains behind the show have announced that its next season, its seventh, will be its last.
The announcement was made Wednesday evening by showrunner David Mandel and star/executive producer Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Louis-Dreyfus indicated that this was completely a creative decision: "It became clear that this season should be the last season. We don't want to repeat ourselves or wear out our welcome. The story has a finality to it that feels end-of-series." Read more...
