'World of Warcraft' supports disaster relief with an adorable pet fox you can adopt

Meet Shadow, an adorable purple-and-white fox that's up for "adoption" (i.e. purchase) in World of Warcraft. What's more: if you open your heart to her, and you'll actually do some good in the wider world.

Shadow continues Blizzard's tradition of in-game "charity pets," which are usually (but not always) tied to the annual fan event, BlizzCon. In this case, the $10 cost of adopting the cute, little fox benefits disaster relief.

As Blizzard's announcement reads:

The post goes on to state that 100 percent of each $10 adoption fee will be passed along to American Red Cross Disaster Relief and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Disaster Relief Fund.
