Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 coming to India soon, confirms Senior VP

After surprising global tech fraternity with it’s stunning looking bezel-less Mi Mix smartphone last year, Xiaomi finally unveils the successor of the beauty. The Chinese giant has launched the second iteration of Mi Mix, named as the Mi Mix 2 at an event in Beijing. Xiaomi's Senior Vice President, Xiang Wang made a major announcement for Indian market, which confirms the arrival of the Mi Mix 2 in India soon.

Wang revealed the news to TechRadar India saying, "The Mi Mix 2 we launched today will be in India. We love India. Upon asking about possible flagship phones coming to India, he added "You’ll see the flagship product, but we have to take care of the masses."

Xiaomi VP, Manu Kumar Jain also added his part of confirmation on the arrival of Mi MIX 2 in India via his Twitter handle.

To recall, Mi MIX was the reason why majority of OEMs fell for the bezelless fashion and started working on their respective designs. If you look at phones like LG G6, Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8, Essential Phone and allegedly the iPhone 8, it’s quite obvious that Mi MIX had its impact over the design of these phones. Well, technically Sharp Aquos came even before the Mi MIX but never got into such limelight, so the credit obviously goes to Xiaomi for this.

Although the Mi MIX did not make it to India last time, there are high chances that the company will bring the flagship in India soon after the global roll out. It’s pretty obvious that the Mi MIX 2 would be better, mightier and improved.

What's more for India?

The demand for Xiaomi's notebooks in India never settled, but the company looked in no mood to bring their laptop portfolio to India. We tried to get a hint if the new Mi Notebook 3 by any chance coming to India, Wang says “We will do a study on the laptop. We want to offer the best we can. India is another country where we can leapfrog PC.  We are looking on the right timing. We want to understand what kind of laptop Indian people are asking for. We want to go deep."

In his conversation with Indian media, he also revealed that the company wasn’t only planning to bring Mi products to the India, but also wanted to bring more products from Xiaomi's ecosystem. “We want to bring more ecosystem products to the Indian market,” he said.

Strengthening it's foundation and preserve its popularity in India, Xiaomi has shown immense love to Indian fans which is visible from its aggressive approach.
