A recent and unusual Park Avenue window display featuring an absurdly lifelike baby sculpture has captured the attention of New Yorkers walking by. Scores of people, convinced that the baby is real and concerned for its welfare, have become so anxious that they've gone as far as alerting the store's manager.

The snoozy baby in a blue sweatsuit is a creation of Duane Hanson, an artist known for creating extremely realistic sculptures featuring everyday people in everyday lifeTitled "Baby in a Carriage, 1983,” the piece is valued somewhere between $80,000 and $120,000, according to Aviva Lehmann, Director of American Art at Heritage auctions.
