Good morning! Here's the technology news you need to know this Monday.
1. Amazon is reportedly talking to generic drugmakers. The company has apparently met with Sandoz, the generic drug unit of Novartis, and Mylan.
2. Twitter said it made a mistake defending Trump's anti-Muslim retweets — but said the videos are still OK. "We mistakenly pointed to the wrong reason we didn’t take action on the videos from earlier this week," CEO Jack Dorsey tweeted.
3. An iOS bug caused iPhones to crash when the date changed to December 2. Apple rushed out a fix for the bug in a software update early Saturday.
4. Reddit and its users are ratcheting up their opposition to the FCC's imminent repeal of its net neutrality rules. On Friday, Reddit users by the dozens posted pictures of members of Congress who oppose the rules.
5. Apple is reportedly looking into designing its own power management chips. It's reportedly on track to start operations as early as next year, ditching its partner Dialog Semiconductor, whose shares were down 17% after the news broke.
6. Apple's head designer Jony Ive said he hears recent MacBook criticism. "Absolutely, all of your feelings and feedback around the MacBook you use, we couldn't want to listen to more," Ive said earlier this week in Washington DC. "And we hear — boy, do we hear."
7. The crypto exchange Coinbase went down on Friday as bitcoin prices neared $11,000 (£8,189). It was the second time this week the site was unavailable.
8. Apple CEO Tim Cook said developers have earned $17 billion (£12.6 billion) from Apple's China App Store. Cook spoke at the fourth World Internet Conference yesterday.
9. Elon Musk plans to launch his red Tesla Roadster to Mars in January 2018, SpaceX reportedly confirmed. Musk said he made up the claim, but SpaceX said it was real.
10. Jony Ive is sensitive about criticism of Apple's new $5 billion (£3.7 billion) campus. "We didn't make Apple Park for other people," Ive said. "So I think a lot of the criticisms ... are utterly bizarre, because it wasn't made for you. And I know how we work, and you don't."
