Japanese Stationery Pad Reveals a Beautiful Temple the More You Use It

Triad Inc., a Japanese architectural model making company, has introduced Omoshiroi Block, an incredibly unique memo pad that slowly reveals 3D shapes of Japanese landmarks as you continue to use each layer of paper.

When you first receive an Omoshiroi Block, it looks pretty much like any other memo pad sold in most stationery stores. However, as you continue to rip through it, you’ll realize that the papers gradually start to take shape.

Typically, when someone finishes a whole memo pad, the remains usually thrown in the trash. But Triad’s Omoshiroi Block can also be a wonderful table display. Take this amazing model of Kyoto’s famous Kiyomizu-dera temple as an example:

The Kiyomizu-dera model comes in four different color themes, including sakura cherry blossoms, bamboo, iris and autumn leaves, according to SoraNews24.

The demand for Triad’s Omoshiroi Block was so high that the company has reportedly run out of stock, and its online store also went down.

However, the memo pads are expected to go in stock at e-commerce website Japan Trend Shop on Feb. 1.

Triad’s Omoshiroi Blocks come in other forms of famous architectural beauties in Japan, including Asakusa Temple and the Osaka Castle.
