Lando Calrissian makes his 'Saturday Night Live' debut to address diversity in space
We won't actually get to see Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story until May 25, but thanks to Glover's double duty gig on Saturday Night Live this weekend, we get a sneak glimpse of Calrissian in the comedy space.
In the sketch, Lando hosts a summit gathering all the black folks in the galaxy — all four of themRogue One's Saw Gerrera, played hysterically by Kenan Thompson, makes an appearance to address the very empty room. It's a biting commentary on the lack of diversity in the franchise, that can be summed up perfectly in one line:
"I would like to read a list of all the black humans who lived before us to honor their of all the black humans who lived before us to honor their memory," Thompson says. "Mace Windu." Read more...
