Kids and teens have always loved watching movies and TV shows on the Disney Channel. Those young actors and actresses were like Roman gods to the new generation. So many idols to follow, so many clever lines to put into memes! But did you know that a lot of those young stars were much older than you thought?

1. Monique Coleman

The good old “High School Musical” had quite a few cast members above 21, but the oldest one of them has got to be Monique Coleman. She was playing 17-year-old Taylor McKessie when she was, wait for it, 28!

2. Jason Earles

In “Hannah Montana,” Miley’s brother Jackson was supposed to be 15 years old, but the actor was born in 1977! If my math is correct, he was actually 29 when the show premiered. You’d never tell he’s this old.

3. Dylan Playfair

In 2017 Dylan played Gaston’s son Gil in “Descendants 2”. A teen son. But guess how old he really was. Here’s a hint: it starts with twenty and ends with five. By the time he was done with all the “Descendants” sequels, he had hit 30.
