When an alarming situation was discovered by the police, they called The Arizona Humane Society to help them with the rescue. It was one hoarding house with terrible conditions. Grime and dirt covered the floors, and several rusty animal cages coated the walls. The majority of the animals which were found within the Phoenix, AZ, house were birds and dogs. It was a very sad moment and the dogs were happy when they saw the rescuers. It was clear that they looked forward to the day they will leave their cages and get the attention they deserve. In total, 67 animals were rescued from the hoarding house and so far some have been lucky to find their forever homes. Hoarding negatively affects animals’ well-being and as a result, it has been confirmed to be a class one crime, as per the Arizona Humane Society.
