He did this for the next 15 years, and then one day, a staff member refused to take his money. What?! In fact, before that, the restaurant had thrown a party for Collin’s 94th birthday. The “money” part came a month later on Veteran’s Day. Collin’s had fought in the World War II serving in the Army Air Corps, and that’s what prompted the restaurant to stop taking his money. They told him he would never have to pay for his meals again. It was all on the house! Sadly, the old chap passed away a few months later, but the restaurant wasn’t done with him yet.
