The New Initiative at Temple University Hospital Has Left Many Talking For This GENIUS Reason

Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia is trying to recreate an old tradition. In 1930, the Finnish government gave thenew mothers a baby box. The baby box served as acrib for the newborn. The box contains a small mattress and holds a few baby belongings. The box gave the newborns an equal start in life despite their socio-economical background. Temple Hospital University is handling similar boxes in their hospitals. Each baby box has goods worth $100. It doubles up as a bassinet. Nurses at the hospital say the boxes will reduce infant mortality. The hospitalstaff was not sure how the mothers would react to the new initiative. Surprisingly, they have received a lot of positive responses. The hospital hopes to donate 3,000 boxes to cover the number of births in the hospital. Please SHARE on Facebook!
