The skilled dancer began dancing since she was two. Melanie’s mother is African-American, and her father is a Filipino. Melanie’s parents becameinterested in maintaining the Polynesian culture, and fortunately, their daughter picked the influence when she was young. Despite Melanie winning the competition, her mother says she remains humble, and that makes her proud. According to Record Net, Melanie does not believe she won.
