Did Nintendo just drop a clue that a Nintendo 64 Classic is coming?

With people still raging over NES Classic Edition's abrupt discontinuation, and hype through the roof for the upcoming SNES Classic Edition, it feels inevitable that a Nintendo 64 Classic Edition will be released in the future.

And now we might have our first clue that it could be coming. New trademark filings discovered by NeoGaf user Rösti could suggest Nintendo is working on (or considering working on) a miniaturized N64.

Based on the filings, it appears Nintendo applied for four trademarks related to its console controllers with the European Union Intellectual Property Office on July 18.  Read more...
