Linkin Park's Chester Bennington was found dead Thursday morning in Los Angeles. His death was a suicide.

TMZ first reported the news after Bennington's body was found at a private residence in the L.A. area. This comes shortly after the death of singer Chris Cornell, whom Chester was friends with before Cornell's own suicide in May. Bennington wrote his friend a letter the day Cornell passed away.
