LIVE: Microsoft earnings (MSFT)

Microsoft announced quarterly earnings after the closing bell on Thursday.

 Microsoft stock, which has surged 19% so far this year to all-time highs, soared up another 2% on the announcement. 

Microsoft reported:

• Earnings per share of $0.98 adjusted
• Revenue of $24.7 billion, adjusted

Wall Street will be looking for continued growth in Microsoft's all-important cloud businesses.
