Amazon launches $20 buttons that let you play games with your Echo (AMZN)
Amazon just introduced Echo Buttons, glowing single-button game controllers that work with its Amazon Echo line of smart speakers. They'll come in packs of two for $20, and they'll be available by the holiday season.
In a demo, Amazon showed how these glowing buttons can be used as buzzers in a trivia game, or as lights in a Simon Says-style game.
Amazon Senior VP Dave Limp says that these buttons are intended to bring back family board game night, and jokes that they'll be his preferred stocking stuffer this holiday.
