Rebel Wilson speaks out after winning $3.6 million defamation lawsuit
Pitch Perfect's Rebel Wilson has won her long legal battle, netting her a multi-million dollar settlement in the process.
Wilson sued Australian magazine publisher Bauer Media for a series of defamatory articles published about the actress in 2015, which branded her a "serial liar" and "fabricated almost every aspect of her life," according to the Supreme Court of Victoria's judgment on Wednesday.
The case ruled in Wilson's favour, netting the actress a settlement of A$4.5 million (A$3.6 million) — reportedly an Australian record. She argued the articles had cost her acting roles. Read more...
