Dead woman is present and parties at her funeral after daughter props up the corpse

When a loved one dies, we grieve and celebrate their life to varying degrees. While some funerals can be teary, there will be laughs at others.

One woman, however, celebrated her funeral in style.

Miriam Burbank passed away in 2104. Her sendoff was unusual as she was a witness in her funeral.

Miriam’s daughter wanted a fitting funeral for their mother. With the assistance from the funeral home, Miriam was dressed up and popped up in a chair. She sat at the dining table with the guests holding a tall glass of Busch beer and methanol cigarette in her hands.

Miriam’s family and friends agree it was the best way to celebrate the last moments of the deceased. After all, it was very much her style. Attending Miriam’s funeral was like walking into her home.

It may be an unusual way of saying goodbye but it is not a rare occurrence.
