Microsoft plans a major overhaul of its Redmond campus
Microsoft is not the only company building a new super-duper campus for its employees.
Unlike Apple's recently opened "spaceship" campus, however, Microsoft is merely upgrading its current campus in Redmond, Washington.
According to the company, the "refresh" of its Redmond headquarters will include "18 new buildings, 6.7 million square feet of renovated workspace, $150 million in transportation infrastructure improvements, public spaces, sports fields and green space."
When it's all done — in five to seven years — the campus will have enough room for 47,000 Microsoft employees, with the possibility to expand for 8,000 more people. Read more...
