British Pedophile Caught in Social Media Photos With Children in Vietnam

A registered sex offender from South London has been discovered to be living unchecked in Vietnam after photos of him with Vietnamese children emerged online.

Christopher Trinnaman, a 41-year-old pedophile, signed up as a trombone player with a top orchestra in Vietnam after he was released from prison in 2015.

While British authorities stated that there was nothing wrong with him staying there, one of his victims reacted negatively on the image, calling it “disgusting” and “appalling,” Mirror reports.

“Why was he allowed to travel abroad?” the victim said. “He’s a very manipulative man who is a danger to children. I will always remember what he did to me, it will always stay with me.”

The said victim was reportedly targeted by Trinnaman online when she was aged 13, grooming her along with a girl of 14. She later testified at his trial while the other victim reportedly took her own life.

“We were so vulnerable and he preyed on that,” the unnamed victim said. “It’s disgusting he is free to go abroad with no monitoring. It’s appalling he’s in Vietnam with children. He must be stopped from doing this to anyone else.”

Upon his conviction, Trinnaman became the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which restricted him from having contact with children and use of the internet.

While he was described as high-risk, he remained free to roam abroad, allowing him to settle in Vietnam. In his adopted country, he has played to large crowds at the Vietnamese National Academy of Music.

There is reportedly no indication that he has acted inappropriately nor broken any laws since moving to Vietnam.

In 2009, Trinnaman fled the authorities about 24 hours before his trial, sparking a manhunt. He was caught in 2011.

He was being tried for posing as a teen online and persuading two girls to send naked pictures. He also tried to lure one of them to a hotel for sex.

Authorities would later find 28 indecent images of minors on his computer during a search of his home.

Trinnaman was sentenced to four years in jail in 2010 for possessing indecent images and causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. His conviction also earned him a spot on the sex offenders list for life.

The Met Police insisted that Trinnaman’s presence in Vietnam did not breach any condition of his case.

“A Sexual Harm Prevention Order is an order made by the court and the conditions imposed in this case do not prevent travel abroad,” a spokesman for the Met Police was quoted as saying.

After the pedophile’s background was exposed on social media, the spokeswoman for Trinnaman’s orchestra released a statement.

“Christopher John Trinnaman used to work at the Sun Symphony Orchestra as an associate principal trombone,” the statement read. “On April 23, due to his personal reason, Mr. Trinnaman resigned from the position and terminated the labor contract with Sun Symphony Orchestra. Sun Symphony Orchestra did not know anything about his past. All the necessary information he provided to sign the labor contract was legal.”

Trinnaman reportedly fled once more after details of his previous convictions emerged.

According to his neighbors in Hanoi, police visited his apartment recently. His whereabouts are now unknown.
