Skinny Body Care Review – Scam, Pyramid, Good Business Opportunity?
Company: Skinny Body Care
Website: http://ift.tt/1iXeMVc
Founder: Ben Glinsky
Welcome to my Skinny Body Care (SBC) review!
This is a company that many people jumped in head first with doing little to know research.
This is primarily due to hype surrounding SBC and most Health and Wellness niche MLMs.
This is a problem because it creates a trap for unsuspecting people that are simply trying to make an honest living.
Many people have gone broke trying to make this company work for them and to me, this leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
This review will not only show you many aspects of the company, it will reveal something that most reviews will not.
I will demonstrate how this company, and many companies just like it use sales tactics to lure people in and then fail to deliver on their promises time and time again.
I would like to also go on the record stating that I will never endorse or recommend a “snake oil” scheme because any claims that this stuff make you lose weight without exercise is a full blown scam.
If you look at any organization in the world, they will tell you that a well balanced diet with moderate levels of exercise is the key to weight management.
Anyone telling you otherwise is a fraud.
The final thing I will say on the matter before jumping into the review is that some of their products may help you lose water weight or waste weight via high fiber intake, but that is it.
These are unsafe ways to lose weight.
Ok, that is the end of my rant against these kinds of businesses, let’s see if Skinny Body Care can alleviate some of the negatives that go along with pill and “magic potion” MLMs.
A Skinny Body Care Overview
OK here it is plain and simple.
A company’s leadership is the most important part of a business.
If the leadership is horrible, then the company is doomed to fail, if the leadership is top notch, it can be a great investment.
According to the main SBC website, the company was founded in 2011 by a man named Ben Glinsky.
Apparently he thought it was a good idea to completely get rid of the corporate office.
I have personally never heard of another MLM doing the same thing but time will tell.
This company has lasted 5 years which is a pretty big deal in the MLM world.
On the other hand, let’s take a look at other business ventures that Glinsky has either founded or ran as CEO.
• ProBuilderPlus.com, SGLeads.com, Gotleads.com
• Pro Wealth Solutions
• Brain abundance
• Home Wealth University
• Rejuvenate World Wide
• My World Plus
Every single one of his previous businesses had either gone bust or simply became irrelevant.
So why should we think that this business is any different.
For example, let’s take a look at the major complaints of the customers from his previous businesses.
1. Misleading Product Claims
2. Deplorable Sales People
3. Billing Issues
4. Massive Associated Fees
5. Poor Customer Service
Look, these are not simple issues that can be fixed.
Each and every one of the company’s downfalls are major issues.
This is why thousands of MLMs go bust within the first few years.
To be perfectly honest, I believe that the only reason this company made it to the 5 year mark is because 68% of adults take some form of supplement or weight loss product.
It is riding the wave of health and wellness.
Other than that, there is absolutely nothing unique about the product and it is not backed by any credible science.
Products & Services
Here is what SBC has to say about their products and services: “From our world class manufacturing facilities to using only top quality natural and organic raw materials, our innovative formulas are unmatched anywhere in the world.”
Here is the deal, every company selling the same kinds of products say the exact same thing.
To be honest, there is little to no difference with the formulas at all.
It comes to no surprise that SBC can come up with one scientific fact that can be backed up by the WorldHealth Organization or the Department of Health Services.
Both of those organizations by the way, have stated that using supplements can be detrimental to your health due to overdoses of some vitamins.
The World Health Organization states that you should go to a doctor and do specific deficiency tests to determine which vitamins to take.
They also say that daily vitamins are overboard because you most likely are not deficient in every vitamin it provides.
Here is the deal, if SBC came out and said something to the effect as “we supply people with multivitamins that may help people lose weight and provide health benefits to people,” I would at least respect them more.
However, they decide to throw state of the art manufacturing facilities and “unmatched” formulas.
To be perfectly honest, all I see is a company trying to sell you a used car in the form of health products.
Price List Of Packages:
• Silver: $189.70
• Gold: $279 / $499
• Both Packages include a $59.95 per month
This is a lot of money to spend when the company compensation plan is based on recruiting and retail commissions.
There are thousands of products exactly like this one.
Why would anyone switch to this brand and why would anyone buy these ridiculously priced supplements.
If you really feel that it is necessary to look at all of the products, check out this SBC Product List.
There is still one major issue about this website though.
The only way you can see prices is if you enter the USERNAME of the distributor that referred you.
I understand this is to help fuel the compensation plan but I need to know how much I’m spending before anything else.
Not having the prices readily available is ridiculous.
Compensation Plan
This section is going to be much shorter than my usual. You can follow this SBC Compensation Plan link for the entire thing.
If you are even considering this MLM, I would strongly recommend reading the entire plan so that you know what to expect.
I know this seems like common knowledge but you would be surprised how many people join an MLM without any research at all.
Better Business Bureau (BBB)
This is one of the most confusing research sessions I have ever had and I’ve done over 100 reviews.
Check this out; I entered http://ift.tt/1iXeMVc into the database and here is what came up.
All three companies that pop up have the same website but have 3 different locations.
What is alarming is that all three of the companies have horrible grades and the first company listed (the real SBC) is listed as possibly out of business.
Look at these images to confirm.
You have got to be kidding me.
Either BBB has mistakenly implied that SBC is out of business or they are still promoting their products after closing their doors.
There website it still active and there are still comments circulating about unhappy customers and affiliates.
This comment is from 4 days ago and it is implying that everything is fine with the company in regards to it still be operational.
Something isn’t adding up here and it feels like things are finally coming to an end just like all of Glinsky’s other businesses have done.
The Final Verdict
It should come to no surprise that I cannot recommend this company to anyone.
In fact, I am going on the record saying that I do not recommend any MLM, especially a company that is in the health and wellness niche because all they do is make empty promises.
It is insane that companies are able to take advantage of people that are looking for a way to improve their health and are out of options in regards to finances.
Look I get it, I am a former fatty so I get the attraction to scams like this.
But I finally realized that the only way to get the body that I want is to actually do something rather than trying a magic pill or formula.
I took my training in stages. First, I stopped drinking soda entirely and walked for 30mins – 1hour.
After a month of this, I lost about 15 pounds and then realized that I wanted more.
I started going to the gym 3-4 times a week and things really took flight.
I lost tons of weight and now love going to the gym almost every day.
Look, the only way to lose weight in a safe manner is to get off the couch and stop succumbing to unhealthy habits.
Now that I have shared a personal story with you, I would like to also tell you that there are legit MLMs and network marketing programs out there.
In my humble opinion, the best way to make a living online is to create your own business.
If you have no idea where to start, you should check out this review.
The program is FREE to try out and you can upgrade if you feel the need.
You will get to participate in a training program that has been around for years and has helped a lot of people.
Self improvement is important to everyone and there is absolutely ZERO risk involved.
If this review helped you then I am glad. If you have experience with this company, want to ask a question or leave a comment, feel free to fill out the form below.
