#1 Bad Parenting

A young couple from Spanaway, Washington might get the prize for worst parenting ever. Ashlee Hutt (24), and Leroy McIver (25), not only exposed their three kids to rat droppings, drug needles, and heavy drugs – they also induced their sleep with drugs: Their 6-year-old son said that he and his siblings were given a “sleeping juice” or “feel good medicine.”

#2 "Feel Good Medicine"

The young boy gave investigators a lot of info after being interviewed by the local Child Protection Services. According to the social workers: “His mom and dad give him and his sisters the 'feel good medicine,' [which was] a white powder mixed with water. [His parents] used a needle to inject the 'feel good medicine' into him and his sisters." It was confirmed that at least 2 of the children tested positive for traces of heroin in their bloodstream, and all three of them had puncture marks.

#3 No Surprise

The neighbors said they weren’t surprised to find out the type of parents Hutt and McIver were, but they probably never expected them to go as far as injecting their kids with heroin. Neighbor Donald Tiedt referred to the situation: “Whoah, I didn’t know that was going on over there. There’s just been so many reports. It’s hard to keep track of everything.”

#4 Held On $100k Bonds

The two suspects have pleaded not guilty to 3 counts of child endangerment, second-degree child assault, and delivery of a controlled substance to a person under 18. Nonetheless, they didn’t deny their addiction to heroin.
