Sometimes it can break your heart to think about the many people that could pass you by while watching you “swim” in trouble. It almost happened to Mott, but then it was proven that we still have a few kind humans on our planet. So, on this one day, on Black Friday, Mott was in Des Moines, IA, shopping for some dog beds at Mills Fleet Farm.  That’s when it happened. Mott received a call that almost gave her a heart attack. It was from a nurse at a hospital. Mott’s mom had passed away. The news hit her like an asteroid right in the face. She literally blacked out.  She sat on a shelf right in the middle of an aisle and sobbed like crazy. She really cried, but in all this, and with so many people walking past her, no one seemed to care. But one lady did.  She sat next to her, hugged her and cried with her. Such humanity! See, it only took a stranger’s hug and company to calm Mott. When she posted about it, the stranger’s sister contacted her and told her about the mysterious lady. Her name was Stephanie Uhlenberg.
