How Women Look Like In Different Countries: Expectations VS Reality

Whenever you go outside to get some food, meet your friends, or walk your doggo, you’ll most likely encounter random strangers. What usually happens is that your brain uses certain “labels” to describe those people: tall, short, blonde, redhead, fat, thin, black, white, and other attributes. That first glance may be all it takes for you to label a person as “hipster”, or a “geek”, as well as deduce their nationality (not always accurately, though), religion, whether or not they pay taxes, and if they’re a cat or a dog person. Basically. There’s a tiny Sherlock Holmes living inside of your head. But remember, all these stereotypes and labels can also be applied to you, so don’t go judging other people without first looking in a mirror.

 

In our heads we do have certain “presets”, let’s call them, for a lot of nationalities, cultures, professions, and communities. A lot of those stereotypes were probably stuffed into our brains by the media, and most of them are blatant lies. Every country, every culture is unique in its own way, but stereotyping can be quite fun if you don’t take it too seriously. Which you shouldn’t.

 

Enough rambling, as you can see, today’s topic is all about expectations and reality, so let’s see some of those expectations get shattered!
