Ann Coulter Ranted Against Delta, But Wanted David Dao Deported After United Abuse

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter went on a rant against Delta Air Lines after being removed from the extra legroom seat she paid for on a flight from New York to Florida on Saturday.

She expected the same sympathy United Airlines passenger Dr. David Dao received after he was forcibly dragged from his seat by security at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport in April, leaving him bloodied and bruised, Newsweek reported.

However, following Dao’s incident, Coulter called for the Kentucky doctor’s deportation on Twitter at the time, tweeting, “Sorry about the dragging, but the convicted pill-mill doctor should be deported. Dreamland.”

Coulter referred to a piece in the local Courier-Journal, citing that Dao previously had his medical license suspended for drug abuse.

Footage of the incident on United Airlines showed security officials forcibly removing Dao from his seat, with passengers recounting that he had a bloodied face, apparently dazed and ran to the back of the plane.

Dr. Dao and United Airlines reached an “amicable” settlement at the end of April with a condition that the amount remain undisclosed.

Meanwhile, Coulter went on a social media tirade to call out Delta, its employees, as well as the passenger who ended up taking her original seat, which reportedly cost $10,000. On Monday, the right-wing political commentator would not let it go, saying:

She even brought Delta CEO Ed Bastian into the mess.

Delta hit back hard, defending its employees and customers.

According to USA Today, Delta issued a statement on the incident.

“We are sorry that the customer did not receive the seat she reserved and paid for. More importantly, we are disappointed that the customer has chosen to publicly attack our employees and other customers by posting derogatory and slanderous comments and photos in social media. Her actions are unnecessary and unacceptable.”
