The moment a Buddhist temple got completely washed away in a flood in Myanmar
A Buddhist temple in Myanmar has been swallowed by floodwaters in the wake of heavy monsoon rains.
Footage shows the pagoda slowly sinking into floodwaters, before eventually disappearing completely into the Irrawaddy River — the country's largest that flows from north to south.

The footage was taken by a Buddhist monk from the temple, who said the pagoda was destroyed last Thursday.
"This pagoda was built in 2009, when it was far away from the river," Monk Pyinnya Linkara told newswire AFP. Read more...
