Woman gave birth in the back of an Uber and got $220 worth credits
Now you know what's in store, should you ever have to give birth in the back of an Uber.
Siti Halimah Mahamud was in labour, trying to make her way to a hospital in Singapore, when her water broke.
She had earlier complained of pregnancy pains, and called an Uber to get her there.
She said in a statement provided to Uber, that she had wanted to call for an ambulance right after, but the Uber arrived before she could dial the hospital.
Uber driver Danny Chong picked up the 26-year-old housewife and her sister-in-law. After a 20 minute ride, they were only minutes away from the hospital when the driver heard Siti cry out "pain, pain" in Malay — and the baby was delivered. Read more...
