Mom gives birth to identical twins but doctor has some heartbreaking news

Matt and Jodi Parry were elated when they discovered they were pregnant with identical twin girls. The twins, Abigail and Isobel, were prematurely born in June 2011. Weeks later, the parents received some disturbing news.

The doctor called the parents to an impersonal room and told them “I’m sorry.”

Jodi felt like it was a death sentence. The twins were diagnosed with Down Syndrome. The parents knew nothing about the condition. They were left with fear, panic, and doubt. How would the girls relate to the rest of the world?
