Pharrell Williams joins the #TakeAKnee protest during a Charlottesville unity concert
The #TakeAKnee movement has officially spread beyond football this weekend.
The protest, focused on police brutality and racial justice by Colin Kaepernick, has been taken on by the immortal Pharrell Williams. While performing during "A Concert for Charlottesville: An Evening of Music and Unity" this weekend, the musician took a moment, and two knees, to address the right to protest itself in the face of Donald Trump's incendiary comments.
"I'm in Virginia right now. I'm home," Pharrell said to the crowd. "Can't nobody tell me what to do. If I wanna get on my knees right now for the people in my city, for the people in my state, that's what that flag is for." Read more...
